The above picture is a snapshot of a remesh of a skull with certain characteristics (more details are available in a paper currently under review). The base mesh clearly consists of a tetrahedron, i.e., has only 4 triangles. The picture shows the base mesh triangles mapped to the final remesh. The original skull consisted of 20,000 points and the resampled one has around 32,000 points. The processing took 8 minutes on a Pentium III 700MHz machine.
